why all aftermarket turbo is always made for track(only) in mind?.It's so hard to make a turbo kit with clean setup like stock one?The car is always to loud and smell like 1965 made car(no cat).Why is not possible to make a turbo kit with REAL Sensor with REAL signal not a modified signal by piggyback into the car ECU?
The good and reliable turbo setup for me is
Standalone ECU or complete reprogramming of stock ONE
A real cat(high flow if needed) with the resonator and all O2 sensor keep in function
Now all parts you can buy for performance always eliminate or put your car into some risk of damage.
CAI = hydrolock(made a cai with better flow(remove all resonator) and heat shield but take the air at the same place as stock!)

There's many reasons, but I think I only know a few. First off, pretty much any engine mod is illegal in California unless it's CARB certified. Since most, if not all, turbo setups are not CARB certified, that makes them illegal in CA.
As for the rest of the states, I guess it depends. I know in order to be legal you would have to use the stock catalytic converter, unmodified. It's against federal law to tamper with a working, stock catalytic converter.
Also, saying that it's for "off-road use only" covers the manufacturer's ***.

Yes cover their *** and make more money.The best idea i have see this year is the SRT-4 and their performance parts directly from the manufacturer.
CAI is the best example of how to make fast and easy money.Some steel and cone filter that cost 50$ to built and sell this 250$.I`ve start to be irritated by the ******* american attitude that want make money fast and easy at any price.
The best example is the CAR you currently drive(made in japan)this is probably because you have find that amercian car a bad build and no reliable over time.
Exhaust line example:One friend of mine have Talon TSI(Eclipse GSX)and have a complete exhaust line build custom and have cost 500$(400US).How much cost complete exhaust line from commercial$easy 1000 to 1500$ WTF!If you have some talent built yours parts!
