Had a Japanese fella who drove slalom for fun take me for a ride in an Escort I once owned. Scared the **** out of me! Going into turns he would slam the clutch to the floor and reach with his left hand for the shifter. We'd be free wheeling into turns with the guy trying to open the drivers door!
i used to double clutch whenever i'd race...it made little to no difference...now i just stick with single clutching/quick shifts. i find it better to just stick with that...
double-clutching while upshifting is no longer needed or helpful when upshifting, it can only slow you down! double-clutching while downshifting is used all the time on the track(road course) to match drivetrain and engine speed. If your lazy you can accomplish the same thing with single clutching on down shift, Double clutching is easier on the tranny.
