The Tornado

Anybody have any info on this. Sounds like a good idea. I'm most intrigued by the claim to an increase in fuel economy. But I have no clue what it really is.

I have done a search and from what I read everyone that says it's a scam have never bought one or even know anyone that has bought one. And the people that have bought one have seen a difference. I only came across one person on this board that owned one and was disappointed. Thus the reason for me making a new thread. I want to hear some new opinions on this.

That would be very cool of you. I would be interested to hear the results. What did you pay for it? Did you buy it from a local shop, or on line?

The way I see it is that no good can come of obstructing your intake. For all I know, you're saving gas with this thing because there's less air going into the engine, so the ECU sprays less fuel.

Hey Silver,

That would be cool if you could try it out. Just remember to drive the same way on both tanks of gas. Don't constantly go into MIVEC on one tank and never to into it on the other. Matter of fact, test 4 tanks of gas. Two tanks without the Tornado, one staying out of MIVEC and the other driving in it a lot. Then 2 tanks with the Tornado.

I doubt you are going to get more than 2 or 3 mpg change. From what I've read, the bigger the gas guzzler the bigger the mpg change. Our cars aren't that bad on gas so we should see only a little change. But even with that little of a change, with the money saved on gas the thing would be paid for in less than a year. Considering it only costs 60 bucks, to me that would be worth it in the money saved for the long run. My only concern is that it isn't harmful to my engine. I'd like to talk to someone who has had it on for a long time, like a year or so. See what they felt about it.

listen to dexter, they arent worth whatever you pay for them. They do just as good as those "electric" turbos. I myself cannot say much for them, as I have not used one. My friend has one on his 01 Impala and recognized NADA. Same goes for my friend's camaro, recognized nothing also.

hi all
ok ill start the test here soon. probly next week as i will start school again and i do take the SAME route to school and work and home every day lol. so on MONDAY ill fill up and then start the test. i drive a round trip of about 100 to 120 a day so i can go threw tanks in about a week. ill keep you all updated. as for your friends that didnt see NADA well i have heard from REAL people also that they have seen BIG MPG changes in there vehicles. wether your friends did or didnt dont know but i live in OKLAHOMA and a few have V-8 trucks and such and have noticed about 5 MPG differents like going from 19 to about 24 on the highway ect. does it work, well lets put i this way, when i first got my car i was getting around 280 miles per tanks now i get around 295 almost 300 depending on how i drive ect and nothing was changed excepted placing that in my car. i even ran the same oil ect but my test here will soon show if it does work. ill post as i get results

I just talked to a guy at work and he said not to buy it, it's bogus. He's another guy that never had one himself but had friends that owned them and they never saw a difference.

Those tornado creators and those MAF mod makers are making a killing in profit. There is no doubt in my mind in the low overhead and production cost. Look at those ebay sales!
