Broken Ingen Intake

Just wondering how many guys have had Ingen intakes that have broken? I had one on my Ralliart and it broke off the tab. Only took a month to break. I just took it off. Post up if you have had one break. Ingen says it is an isolated thing like maybe I installed it wrong but I know of a couple guys already who have had them break on their OZs too.

Its Injen first off and all the ones that have broken have mostly been on OZ and regular lancer . The one on my evo runs great i have ran it around 800 miles and still runs great.

I've had mine for a while now and no problems. It depends where it is breaking If you don't push the upper piece with the MAF sensor towards the engine far enough those tabs will snap off in no time at all.

I've been running one since october with no problems, though it's been a couple weeks since I was last under the hood. I heard about this problem before I bought it, so when I installed it I made sure I didn't crank down the vibra mounts, ensuring the intake could move a bit without breaking.

This is why I like the RRM one, because it keeps the flexable OEM duct so the intake can bend when the engine moves around.

I had a guy at the shop buy AEM on Thursday. He left his Broken Ingen at the shop. I have about 4 broken ones laying around. I could put together one good one out of 4 broken ones. Seems to me they do not move well with the engine torque. They need to have a little more rubber and better mounting tabs in order to survive engine torque movement.
