Yeah, but their are stroker kits or 4G64 bottom ends to make higher displacement Evos that would be cheaper then a Ralliart AWD + turbo conversion. Leave us not forget, the Evo has a factory turbo engine that is much stronger then the RA.

I was joking about the outlander. If you want and AWD lancer with a lot of power then just do it right and get an EVO. Doing it any other way will just cause head aches. You can now pick up a used 03 EVO for just a little more then a new ralliart.

what i hear is... if you do make an AWD from a FWD... the power distribution wouldn't be 50/50... meaning, majority of horsies would go to the demanding FWD and the rest to the Rear. so probably 70/30.... 70@front 30@back.

It depends on the setup in the transfer case. A quick example, the transfer case in the '05 Evos (I'm going from memory, so I may be a bit off) varies from 100% FWD to 50/50. In an STI, however, it varies from 35% front/65% rear to 50/50.

You mean the Airtrek Turbo R? Its already out. I think its more in the neighborhood of 230-250hp, though. I doubt we'll ever see it, maybe a Ralliart version, but no turbo.

Mitsubishi transfer cases can ahchieve a 50/50 torque split.

not sure if thats it, i was watching speed channel and they had something about a Outlander Turbo. But it would be alot easier if you just dropped a lancer body onto a evo chassis, still looks like a normal lancer, but performs like a evo. That would probabily cost less money than building a awd system.

Yeah, its the same under a different name. And it is only 199hp and 224 lb/ft torque. Don't know if its any more power in Japan though. It will be released as the Outlander turbo in Europe soon, maybe already out by now.
