Hmmmm....Don't know exactly where I fit in..I'm 55 and drive an RA! What really sold me on it was the power it seems to have over other similar cars I test drove. BTW, I haven't seen one other RA in Southeast TX....and that's OK by me!

I have seen only 2 in the fort worth area silver and black, lots of OZ's though. Yes my car is an automatic :< I couldn't win with the wife. It still shifts beautiful for an automatic. They did a great job!

I just spotted 4 more... *sigh* 3 more Yellow, and a white. Dang. One of the Yellow one's is done up rather tastefully with some painted on graphics and 17's. The tail lights gave it away from a distance.

I work for Mitsu. They are limited due to consumer patterns.

First off, let's close all relation to the Evolution Rs, viii, and MR. Not even the same chassis, I don't care what you think. *kinda like comparing a VW to a Porsche*

The RALLIART has not been promoted through commercial or ad primarily because Mitsu is still re-bounding from the Chrysler-Crisis. Advertisement has never been Mitsu's stong arm to begin with so, let's leave it at that for now.

As we all know, Mitsu vehicles are having a very tough time holding resale value. This is not due to quality, but to stock and market trend. *again, part of the Chrysler thing* This will all improve with new product line popularity thanks to the Endeavor, Evolution and RALLIART Lancers.

RA's will only become more desirable with time and aftermarket support. Just remember, it took the Civic 7 years to get significant aftermarket support and advertising!

Viva the ULTRA LIMITED Sportback RALLIART!

In response to: Aside from the Evo, Mitsubishi really doesn't know who they're selling their cars to. Their North America division CEO (who stepped down this past week) even admitted that they don't have a concrete brand image established yet. They need to apply the ad/marketing campaigns that made the Evo such a runaway success to their other cars. Do you see any commercials for the Ralliart? Didn't think so.

Finbar O'Neill did not step down because he doesn't believe in Mitsubishi's brand image. Finbarr was offered a nice compensation package from Reynolds and Reynolds. Really what person would turn up a deal that involves more money? Especially when your offered a base salary of at least 750,000 yearly and at least 394,000 guaranteed bonuses a year.

As for Ralliart commercials, no you do not see them. Mitsubishi used to focus on the younger generation and with the 0,0,0 it ran Mitsubishi Credit into the red almost a billion dollars, which affected Mitsu all around. So now Mitsu is focusing more on older people (spirited cars for spirtied people).

Mr. O'Neill has great faith in Mitsubishi and believes that the company is on the right path to turning around.

I see quite a few Ralliarts on the road here in Jersey. My husband and I both have one. And to answer someone's question on who would buy an automatic? I would. I commute quite a way to work and alot of it is bumper to bumper traffic so an automatic appeals to me.

Thats the only reason why I'd buy an auto ...and still... . Bumper to bumper traffic aint funny at all with manual transmission.

Ive spotted TWO more black ralliarts...one at my school and one someone had just purchsed. I liked being the ONLY ralliart and no one knowing exactly what my car is...I like mitsu not selling very many...thats why I hated my 01 civic...EVERYBODY had one (and it sucked too!) But what I do hate is whenever someone asks what you drive you tell them "a lancer" and they frown. Then I always have to explain what my car is and show them and they love it!!

Don't tell them you drive a Lancer. Evo guys are Lancers, but they don't like to advertise that. You drive a Ralliart.

I parked next to a red S&S RA at a grocery store in Whitewater, WI a couple weekends ago. It was still there when I left, so I didn't get to see the owner.
