Please visit my photo bucket site and give me your honest opinion. I think I am being taken by the body shop (insurance fraud). Insurance paid for new parts and they are fixing the parts instead. I am also concerned on the safety of the rear if it is hit again.
What is a OEM Rear floor pan, is that the whole trunk or just part of it? By looking at the pictures there is a whole in the pan.
Replace OEM RT Quarter Panel
Replace OEM PAN, REAR FLOOR

Well acutally I got the check buy my lawyer told me to give it to them before this all happened. So they now have the check. I authorized repairs based on the estimate I got from the 3rd party. I asked questions about the repair a few days into it and he told me not to pay attention to that estimate. That is what I dont understand. I will let my lawyer, the 3rd person and the Diminished value person fight is out.
well in all honesty you should keep asking questions, if they say something like "don't pay attention to so and so" something might be up... Be nosey, i mean they're working on your car... Also estimates are estimates.. they normally go up, and if you're lucky they go down.. Don't quote me on this.. but i deal with bodyshops a lot... personal experience, lol
...
Man, i'd break my heart to see my personal car get kicked in the butt like that.
I see a lot of cars at auction and talk to alot of body shop guys. Like the guy said above I wouldnt be surprised if this cost 4,000$ or more to fix by a good body shop.

I am catching that bodyshop in so many lies it is not even funny. They are committing insurance fraud by using the proceedings in-correctly. They were paid to put all new OEM parts on. BONDO turns to crap after a few years of FL SUN. They told me that their insurance was notified and they are accepting a refund of the unused amount. Did he think that I was not going to call them to make sure? They never even talked to the body shop before. FRAUD
I have an attorney working on this.
I called the state because pursuant to Title XXXiii part IX – repair of motor vehicles
559.920 Unlawful acts and practices
section 2, 3, 9, 10, 13
I called my bank since they have a vested interest in my car's value
look here if you want to see the law

If anyone knows of any published articles on accepted uses of "Boby Filler" or any other article that would be helpful please let me know.
Is that a accepted use of sealer for the frame rail?

My brother-in-law used to rebuild totals before it got too expensive to repair and sell them. Now he makes more painting Semi's! Anyway, it's necessary to put a small amount of bondo on a repaired panel to smooth out all the little imperfections that they didn't get out with a hammer and former. Usually nothing deeper than a few millimeters, anything more and they should be able to hammer it into better shape. Holes need to have patch panels (that's why they're called patch panels in the first place, duh!), they might still have to use some bondo but tell them you didn't buy a car made out of bondo, you bought one made of steel and you expect to receive your vehicle in as new condition. That is why you have full coverage!!! When you're car is damaged, you have every right to have your car returned to as close to new condition as is possible. If they are trying the "Well sir, you don't understand the complexities of the auto-body trade" crap. Tell them you do understand the legal aspect, remind them that you used a lawyer to get the check that they have now. Don't back down a bit or they will try and get out of it. The only thing I saw that wasn't really up to snuff was the inside of your trunk. They should have gotten a patch panel for that. The trunk is part of your crumple zone (safety), you need to replace it. Even if they could straighten it out, it wouldn't buckle the way it was intended to like the 1st time. The sad news is that no matter how much it may look look like new, it won't ever be as good again. It's a shame he's trying to scam you, but I've seen guys get a hell of alot worse than what he's doing.
Hope this helps ease the pain a little,
