Is the Idle supposed to change once you install a CAI?

I dont know much about cars, but Ive noticed that since I install the cai my idle is a bit lower (in RPMs) than before, making the idle a bumpy one. Is this normal or is there something wrong with my car.

if you must, re-install the intake. Make sure you disconnect the negative when installing, the intake again. Once done, connect the negative, turn the car on and let it idle for about 10mins. She should run fine than.

make sure your clamps are tight! a small vacuum leak can cause an irratic idle and a CEL

i had the same thing happen to me when i put my cai on, the cel came on but like everyone said disconnect the neg. not that this might be the reason but also whenever you get gas make sure the guy clicks the gas cap 4-5 times, in jersey we are not aloud to pump our own gas, so the idiots sometimes don't turn on tight enough.
