Add me to the list.

I know I read a topic about this a month or so ago, but if you got RRM's version 1 CAI you should definately keep an eye on that piece of crap filter, the rubber on mine split at the base of the filter, not where it's clamped, but actually at the base of the filter.

Now it's off to the store to buy a new one so I can drive my car.

i wrote to them(rrm) like 5 or 6 months ago and they told me i would have to buy a new one from for like 30 bucks. I had that same problem. I went to clean my filter and couldn't take it off to clean it because i wasn't sure if i would be able to get it back on.

I still haven't bought one but i plan on it soon. I haven't had any problems with it falling off but when it first happened i found myself looking under my car everytime i parked somewhere.

I think the problem is that they used a filter with a 2 3/8" inlet diameter, but the piping's outside diameter is 2 5/8", so the rubber is flexed so much it splits.

I got a new filter, 2 5/8" inlet diameter for 34bucks CDN.

WOW that must have been some mistake... the filters i've put on just slipped right on. Maybe you should call them and tell them what's up again and that you had to force the filter on.

I'm sure they'd assist. Good luck.
