Unorthodox Flywheel

Apparently they make a 10lb. flywheel for our car... Opinions?

its on my list of things to get in the near future. cheapest one for us so far and they have a great record for making high quality flywheels. cant go wrong

I believe the origional post was concerning a flywheel and NOT an underdrive crank pulley!

First off, it's for the crank pulley, not for the flywheel. I apologize for misreading the topic and getting off-topic.

With that said, the harmonic balancer is part of the crankshaft pulley. It's designed to damp the vibrations coming from the crankshaft and the camshaft, and keep those vibrations from spreading through the engine and to the rest of the car. - visual comparison from my eclipse

depends on the pulley and the engine. not a big deal for us considering what else still needs to be done =) i would rather see a cam gear first, but both would be pretty minor

I wouldn't recommend it unless you can find one with a harmonic balancer. But you can definitely feel a difference with one. Especially with solid engine mounts.

well say we add a decent turbo kit pushing 250bhp/tq... would it be to our advantage?
