In the back seat there is an armrest that folds down. Has anyone tried removing this yet? how does it come out?

Thanks In Advance!

If it comes out and can be replaced, I'm going to build a fiberglass piece with the Mitsu logo pushing out and leds in behind it so it lights up.

The armrest itself or the plastic backing?

So does anyone have any clue about this? I pulled the armrest down and it looks like theres a steel rod holding it in place.

Maybe access it from the truck, but you might to remove the back of the seats still. Youre idea sounds sweet, but I think it might require a lot of work to get it done. Good luck man.

I looked in the service manual about this, but it didn't specify how to get it out, just showed that there isn't much holding the armrest in. Feel around it, it might be really easy to get out.

^ I did that. It looks like there is a rod holding it in place but I can't push it or move the seats around to pop it out. I appreciate you looking though. If you guys see anything please let me know.

Alright, I went and crawled around in my backseat for a minute and figured it out for ya, aren't I nice?

Run your hand down between the seat and the arm rest, on the passenger side, down to where the rod that holds the rest in is at. You can feel a plastic clip wrapped around the rod, push it off (it has an open end). This will then allow you to slide the whole armrest towards the passenger side of the car, then the whole thing will pop out of the seat.

I hope that makes sense. It should once you get in your car and try it.
