Exclamation

Im a nissan guy, waaaaaay more than a mitsu. So ill be clear...

RA is a better buy. These 2 are sooo dam close, it's not even funny. On paper the specV has more hp/trq, but ever seen a dyno of it? Now, compare it to the RA... there that close. RA puts more HP down, but the specV puts more TRQ. RA is more redefined, the specV is old and it's chasis is begging for something new. I know our interior isnt the greatest, but dam... the specV interior is the same as my o1 sentra se... that's a 4 year old car, EWWWW!

RA looks better, i know it looks like an evo a bit, but that's not the buyers fault... that's mitsu. I like the way it looks. The specV looks like one big bubble, just curves all over and in the wrong place. The 6speed sucks, the gearbox is weak... euhhh, you would think for a 6speed it be better. The car "seems" faster than the RA... but run them both... the specV will just wheel hop and torque steer all over the dam place before it actually gets traction.

Here is a vid of a member took running a specV in the 1/8
http://www.streetracing-syndicate.co...ssan%20ser.wmv

In the end, RA owners will say "get a RA". SpecV owners will say "get a specV". You really need to test them out first.

My Vote: RA... looks better, more redifined, something new, just as quick w/ lesser options, great warranty, better interior and much more fun (IMO).

Have you been to the vboard? I wonder what those idiots are gonna say.

As for build quality I would think the ralliart is better. How long has the sentra uesd that Chassis? Mitsubishi redesigned the Lancer chassis for 2004. Its a solid car and easy to upgrade performance parts. With only a little modification it is faster then the spec-v. Stock for stock the spec-v is 1-2 thenths of a second faster in the 1/4 mile. It really comes down to who is a better driver. I have personaly beat a stock spec-v. I bought my ralliart because I felt it had more to offer all around.

Wow thanks for the reply.

If you had to compare those 3 cars in performance where they would be.

SPEC V, Ralliart and Mazda 3.

Also how many miles, you do with one full tank of gas?

My wife like the SPEC V but I like the design of the Ralliart.

What company do performance parts for the Ralliart. Can we buy some in Canada?

Thanks guy's you are helping a lot.

The thing that I don't like with the SPEC V is that they have a problem with the precat. They burn the motor. So we need to put a header right away when we buy the car.

So that just not right for me because that's a big design flaw.

I researched both cars pretty thoroughly and in the end the Ralliart came out as the better buy. In my opinion, the only thing the SpecV has going for it is the LSD. Otherwise, the RA is better in all accounts (IMO). The RA actually looks like a nice car, is built solidly, and the MIVEC engine loves to be modded.

Drive both and decide, but you won't be disappointed with a Ralliart.

really all you can do is drive them and see what you like..companies that make parts are really only www.roadracemotorsports.com and www.rmrproducts.com thats for performance and www.body-kit.com has the kits and crap..with gas as you asked i made it to orlando and drove around for roughly 3 hours on half a tank...from here to orlando is roughly 150ish miles..accolade is a company based in canada so yes you can buy parts...

RMR Products is not currently offering products for the Ralliart. Right now it's RRM and Accolade, with some other companies starting to chime in, especially in Canada. Check out the vendor forum.

Ok thanks. There's some good chance that I may go with a Ralliart.

I just hope I can get a good price and also that I can modified it with parts in Canada.

hahaha hey. You'll get all a big for helping me.

Anyway hope that Mitsubishi will not pull itself out of Canada because they have some problems of selling cars up here.

They are pretty much the same performance wise. What sways me to the RA is:

- the RA is better looking

- a lot less RA's on the road (I hate being part of the herd)

- I'm not sure what the aftermarket looks like for the Spev-V but for the RA's it really starting to move especially with RRM around

You do however get a 6 speed and better tires with the Nissan. With the two cars being so close in comparison, what it really comes down to is personal preference. I also like the fact that with my 04 I have the first ever Ralliart.

Anyway I will change the wheels to put 17 inch or maybe 18 inch if they fit. I will lower the suspension so I maybe better to stick to the 17 inchs.

What do you think. Take in mind that I want a show car more than a speeding bullet car...
