I find it harder from 2nd to 3rd,
rather than from 1st to 2nd,
and thats b/c I let the clutch go earlier

It's because of the torque of the motor. The engine shifts/rotates, misaligning the shift cables (or something like that) and making it harder to shift. It only happens if you try to shift quickly between 1-2.

I just got back from the dealership. I started having this problem about 2 weeks ago. It shifts fine under normal driving conditions but then when I'm pushing it past mivec I have to force it into second. It was never like that befor. I have a little over 23000 miles on it so I think it might be time for new tranny fluid. It's going into the dealership on tues.

yeah i did some driving around today and messed around... and you have to take your time shifting from 1st to 2nd... it makes it much smoother and the car doesnt complain either.... its much easier to slam 2nd to 3rd... but i guess you just have to be nice to it from 1st to 2nd

You just need the short shifter from Road Race... 1st to 2nd is nice and the most troubling for me was 2nd to 3rd but now its all smooth.

Try these rpm's i've never had any trouble getting into 2nd or 3rd, i did notice however when i'm coming to a stop and a light or something and i downshift to first at like about 10mphs or a bout there it doesn't grind but it feels like it hits something whenever i'm at the middle part of 2nd to 1st, that's the only thing i noticed but i just slide it to neutral and try and move it up to first again it works out fine. Whenever i shift from 1st to 2nd tho and i'm not gunning it try and shift right about 3500-4000 i noticed that feels like the smoothest shift point for me when i'm gunning it tho i shift all the way at the end right at 6000 is what i try for never had no problems actually thought it shifts really smoothly you even get that little chirp or sometimes somewheel spin just remember not to drop your clutch to fast just kinda feather it a little that might help a little to
