You get the 7.5k, 15k, 22.5k, 30k, 37.5k, and 45k mile services for free. They recommend that you get your oil changed every 7.5k miles under normal driving conditions.
You can see what they're supposed to do from the pic that I linked in my previous post.
Erm yeah, I didn't get any free oil changes so far, so it really depends on your dealer, guys. If you didn't buy a maintenance plan, don't expect anything from them.
BTW in Canada, they change the spark plugs/air filter/etc after one year, and it costs $200 for the whole service (which is 160 or so in US dollars). I think also, don't quote me on this, but I believe they also check your valve clearance, and adjust if necessary.

Are you ALL on crack. MAINTAINENCE is FREE for the first 45K. It is part of the warranty. If your dealership says otherwise, call Mitsu.
Unless you are having something done outside of the intervals listed above, or are doing extra maintainence, you shouldn't have to spend a cent.

"This free maintenance program previously applied to only select models, but now has been expanded to include all models sold in July and August 2004."
Depends if you bought it before or after the warranty overhaul, I guess. Mine was bought in April 2004, so it seems I, along with others, am out of luck.

This includes oil change, as well as air filter change, spark plug change (if you live in a cold area), inspection of brakes/brake lines, drive shafts/boots, trans fluid level/condition, etc. It's a fairly detailed inspection, and it takes a while, which is why they charge so much for it. I don't think brand of fluids, besides oil and trans fluid, matters very much.

You dont need any of that stuff, other than the oil change. Lots of people like to put stuff into your head like you need this done and that done. I didnt touch my spark plugs for 75000 miles in my eclipse and they were still fine. Didnt touch my tranny fluid either, it was still fine. Coolant, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to look at your reservoir and see that it is empty or low, and if it is, then fill it. Spark plugs, unless you really feel an uneven idle, you dont need to replace those either. Brake pads, you can look at them and tell if they are wearing down, also doesnt take a rocket scientist to do that either. Please, whatever you do, dont pay that kinda money for stuff you dont need. Its not like you have a 50,000 mile plus car, its 15 for crying out loud. Just do regular maintenance like LOOK at that stuff every once in awhile and save yourself an a$$load of money. I hate to see people getting screwed on stuff like that, which any moron could do. Dont let people plant that stuff into your head, after all is said and done, the dealership and places like that are just trying to make money. Dam that was long lol.

Those aren't the service intervals that my dealership has. They recommend every 3,000 miles and they have a sheet with all the maintenance that is covered for each one. Maybe yours is different because you are in Cali and we are further north, so we have to deal with harsh winters.
My warranty info is the same as Tuff's. Still, when they did my 7,500 mile check they put a sticker on my window saying I needed another oil change in 3,000 miles. They put Mobile 1 in (bought myself at Costco) so there's no way I'm going back in 3,000 miles.
One thing I might change is my coolant. I'm think of going with Water Wetter. I'll be daily driving in 100 degrees + soon and you can't get your engine cool enough under those conditions... IMO.

June 26th. I'm SOL.
For every single RA in Canada and most in the northern half of the USA, people have to use the severe schedule (3500 mile/6000km oil changes). The cold weather, usual city driving etc is harder on the oil. So unless you live in a warm area and do freeway driving, your schedule is the severe schedule (probably 80-90% of people are supposed to use the severe schedule, based on the driving they do.)
