lowering help!

im running a set of 18 inch rims on my ra with 205/35 r18 nankang nsII rubber. my dilema is i had an es 04 lancer before and purchased the progress springs for it. out of sheer curiosity i looked into swapping the springs for it to my new ra. im no tech so i went to quite a few reputable shops in my area and the consensus from that is the springs will fit b/c the perches are the same size, that being said it looks like my rear fender is gonna rub the tire like a motherfl*cker b/c of the inside lip on it. can this be done with my tires? will the springs work? do i have to roll my fender? god im confused!?!?!?!?

you can lower the car and still run 18's. i do, and i have no problems. my tires are 215/35 and they have never rubbed. however, i'm not sure that the springs for an ES will fit the ralliart. i've heard that only the LS and OZ springs will fit the ralliart. hope this helps some.

I heard that they are different all together... ES is alone... OZ and LS have their own... and RA has their own... but I don't really know anything so don't take my word for it

ya I honestly think they will go in. like springs are springs. The V6 mustang use different rates then the GT's. but if you put any sportlines, they are standard across the board. I think we'll be fine.

it's good to know now, but too bad it didn't work out for you. i wasn't too sure it would. are you gonna get the tein or progress springs for the RA now? or just keep the stock springs in?
