Guys Guys, I like lancers, and I like RAs. A boosted RA is NOTHING to mess with. I'm sorry you had a bad run in with a cockgobbler like that. Please don't let it sway you, If i see an RA flash lights at me i would assume they were members of this board and i would be MORE than happy to say whats up. Please don't think we are all bastards. I have never had a problem with an evo owner. All I have gotten is respect for what I do have and a lot of encouragment to trade up. I think I might just trade up too in another year or so when the EVO 9's are out. I'm graduating college next week and I'll just have to see how good of a job I can get.

 

not all of us do its just sometimes it DOES happen, some of them see us as wannabes which is fine i really like and respect the evo. its an amazing machine. i just see more potential in the ra, maybe its cuz its new, but whatever the reason i really do prefer my ra to an evo.

I have never had a problem with an evo owner, actually most fast car owners are pretty cool, I am not trying to start something but the only people who I get attitude from are kids in busted up civics with a fart can muffler. Not all civic drivers just teenagers that think a muffler, fake carbonfiber hood and some chrome wal-mart special hubcaps make you fast.

 

I always wave to fellow Lancers, but for some reason I just can't stand it when I see one with an Evo wing on it.

 

I wave to Lancer drivers too. I really like the RA's and if I had the cash for a daily driver, that would be high on the list of choices. Sucks that some people are ***** like that.

Where were you in DFW when that happened? Curious about who it was.

 

Don't get me wronge. I love my RA. As far as potential I just don't see it. MIVEC is nice but I believe the EVO 9 will get that too. As far as displacement, There are stroker kits for the EVO. DOHC makes for nice tuning. All the plumbing is already there for turbo upgrades, AWD is something that the RA will never have. The RA will always have traction problems. The EVO is still the most Bang for your Buck.

Maybe he means that the potential to add mods is greater since the RA is N/A, where the Evo already has a Turbo. Not necessarily saying that you can make the Fastest RA faster than the fastest Evo. The RA will take alot more to get there but there's no denying the huge mod potential.

I have neve rpulled up on anything. One evo who was someone I know through work. he jsut smiled and took faster then hell.

Im my opinion it sjust everyone that ha sdisresepct. It has nothing to do with who has what. But as soon as someone thinks they are faster the **** talknig will start.

I don't know I jsut think its people today mroe then anything. Thats all it is and all it will be. I also think it will get worse in time with how people respect each other.

 

It actually is funny. I just hate the stereotypes some people have for pretty much all young guys driving Jap cars, like we ALL are cocky or something
