My Ralliart went to the crusher today...(56k, grab a sandwish)

So my Ralliart parts car left today...It was a parts cart and went to meet its maker and get recycled into new cars. I bought it 2 months ago as a bad rollover. I actually bought it by accident... I thought I was bidding on a EVO, but it turned out to be a Lancer.

I've learned a lot while working on this car. I was amazed at how incredibly well engineered and built this car was; Bolts were in accessible places, no stupid connectors, or stupid fasteners... All really easy to get to and get out.

Here is what itblooked like when I got it... it was badly rolled and was NOT a fixer upper... otherwise, It would have been put back on the road and I'd be cruising in it today.

Here is it right before the flat bed picked it up to get crushed. We will our junk cars with the metal and plastic bit of car garbage we accumulate so we dont fill our dumpster with car parts.

Enjoy the pics...and know that your Lancer is well built and protecting you well out there!

The one behind the glovebox is the main ECU. The one pictured is the one that controls the lights and some other stuff. There's about 5 ECUs on these cars, it's nuts. I would have pulled anything that looked vaguely electronic off that car before sending it to the crusher.

Probably more than 5, dunno how many are integrated together, but you gotta think.
1. Airbags/pretensioners
2. ABS
3. Fuel injection/emissions/ignition (Main one i'm guessing)
4. PCM (control for auto trans)
Probably another one for some electric controls (door switch control unit etc).
