Installing a new deck

I'm looking to get a new headunit for my RA so I can directly plug my ipod into the HU and listen to it like that instead of over FM(which fm sucks for quality and bearly works). I have the sun and sound package so from the sound of it, the setup is a little more tricky. From what I read in some of the other posts from people who have the S&S you have to get a wire conversion to plug it into the amp Either the soundgate wire or Metra 70-7003. Is one of the two better then the other?
I also found this link that has the amp integration for 20 bucks, but is that the wire kit for hooking up the Head unit also?
My other question is what kind of aftermarket head unit do i need for this to work do i need one with 2 rca pre-outs? I know it needs atleast one aux input for the ipod hookup. Any recommendations on a HU are also welcome, but nothing too pricey .
Thanks guys.

most decent decks ($199 & up) like Alpine have 3 sets of RCA's. alpine also makes a converter box for the Ipod but i don't know about the sound quality.

Thanks for the quick reply. From what I've read about the ipod control box is that its really crappy for controling the ipod. Of course anything is when you compair it to the ipods scroll wheel. But aside from that they say the sound quality is excelent. I dont want the controller for two reasons though, I plan on setting up my ipod near me so I can change it by hand and because its about 100 bucks more. I'd rather put that 100 bucks into exhaust.
