I wouldn't be worrying about a sponsorship. I would be worrying about $445 per month on insurance. That's absurd and it's basically throwing your money in the trash.

Be careful on this sponsorship thing, many people have been screwed on this kind of thing and by that company specifically. Ask yourself, "Why are they offering to sponsor me?". Most companies won't offer sponsorship unless you've already dumped a lot of money (thousands) into a car and have proven that you're serious and that you're a wise investment for them. Also, if a company is asking you to give them money for the sponsorship, that should be setting off all kinds of alarms.

god i'm gonna have to follow this thread cause it's making me laugh. you can take the donkey to the water , but you can't make him drink the water. try looking at this whole thing from the point of view if you were a con artist , then ask your self why are they asking you for money, if there are any papers to sign you better read the fine print about 10 times then take it to a lawyer to read it for you, nobody is gonna sponsor you to go to just 4 shows and give all that money for you car, let your friend do it first just to see what happens.
how old are you????

im 18 they told me the money is to cover the court fines for the papers because just like anything you would have to sign legally has to be notarized

oh and as for my friend he has already been to one show and put a bigger turbo in his car. no scam yet

you'll never get it!....post pics of your car please! i wanna see what so special that they wanna sponsor your car!

a few guys fro SCLC are sponsored or have been(tking abtou true sponsors) actual companies that make the stuff

one guy sponsored by frozen rotor and willwood: willwood gave him the brake kit for cost and gives him replacement pad and rotors , and frozen rotor cryos and slot his rotors free, verbal contract between both parties, he didnt have to give them court fees.
the reason he got his sponsorships were because he tracks his car at almost every event, and talks very highly of both products.

but like jersey said, you can lead a donkey to the water, but you cant make him drink...oh well i tried

I doubt you are fined every time you sign a legal document... I think you meant fee.

Regardless, think about it from all perspectives before doing anything. Oh and let's see some pics.
