Damn, aluminum door sills? How do they look? Would love 'em I bet. Dealer didnt even offer me any extras, guess I didnt look like I had enough money..heheh. I did get the rear windows tinted at the dealer. Almost ashamed to admit it cuz of what they charged...at least it's a lifetime warranty on it. Oh well.

mitsu calls that the "rally" package... I did not get it, but added my own tip and bought a trunk organizer, think it was like $30 for both of them... mitsu wants like $200 for the package. I wouldnt pay it.. but if your car was supposed to come with it (check the window sticker) I would get it...

As posted previously, you must stay away from that exhaust tip at any cost! It's garbage... for the same price you can get a much better one and have it welded in place.

I got the door sills... but got them has a gift from the dealer. That's what's called negociations around here.

As for the net... I dunno man. I mean, it might be practical and stuff... but I would not be able to open my trunk in front of people with this lying inside. Maybe it's just me though... I've been know to be a bit picky with esthetics!

Umm, what's so bad about the exhaust tip? I have it and I have no problems with it. You say I can get one welded on for the same price, but what's the point. It's not like the one I have keeps falling off or soemthing. The look works for me and it doesn't move. What else do you want from an exhaust tip???

nope, no "rally' package for me. I even opted out of "sun roof", because it adds more weight to the car.

I'd like to get the cargo net, too. I've got a bungee-cord X going across my trunk about 8-10 inches in. That helps keep the stuff from sliding ALL over the place, but it still goes from side to side.

It hasn't fallen off...yet. If it's the same exhaust tip that they sell for regular Lancers from the parts department, then it stands a very good chance of falling off. I should know. I spent 30 bucks on one only to realize that it was hanging off the back of my car. Do you know if they weld this one on? Or is it just screwed on like the other one they offer?

Yeah, it's a screw on... of course, if it works for you it's just fine by me. But it's just not something I would recommend buying. It's flimsy, at best...

As a matter of fact, a good example of a well made exhaust tip is Deltarider's. He's gotten a Magnaflow tip (wasn't it?) and got it welded on. The thing is a beauty, it's double walled... and it's not that much more expensive.

Any, Deltarider can elaborate more on this... but I just wanted to say there is better value out there. Which is the case with most dealer sold parts... IMO, if you can't get them to throw some of the stuff at you as freebies when you buy the car, look somewhere else afterwards. But of course, sometimes there's nothing alse that will do a correct job... I guess the net is a good example, it probably has the right attachements and stuff.
