clicking from clutch?

just a question... I’ve heard a bit of a "clicking" sound coming from my clutch... first it was when i pushed in... didn't hear it when I first brought it home... now i hear it when i let it out... just wondering if it is "normal" or if it is something I should have looked at from the dealer??? anyone know?? any advise would be appreciated... thanks

I was told it was normal, due to the starter kill if the clutch isn't to the floor...something like that.

Yep, there are switches at the top and bottom of the clutch pedal travel. The top one cancels cruise control if it's set, the bottom one tells the car you're standing on the clutch, so it's safe to start the car. Incidentally, if you unplug the bottom one, you can start the car without stepping on the clutch.

Mine was doing the same, it ended up going away on it's own, but the dealership told me that that's something they would fix under warranty if you wanted to bring it to the dealership.

Hmm, this is an old thread, but I noticed it on my car today, it would like when I press the clutch in half way, and not make a noise when I release. I hope it goes away...

Occasionally I hear mine clicking. It seems to be normal. Seems to me from this thread it shouldn't be a problem.
