the setup I have is the B&M short shifter which is superb the way, brass shifter bushings, metal retainers for the shifter housing, and a stainless clutch line and let me tell you...DAM! Its like im driving a brand new car every day. The feeling is very much like cocking and loading a flawless clean super m16-A2 service rifle.

Brass is going to be the stiffest. I have brass and a short shifter in my RA and the shift feel is perfect.

I have Kartboy urethane underhood and shifter base bushings. As someone stated earlier, they work perfect.

About fitting issues, the underhood fitment is no prob. The shifter base is another story. You either have to file down the bushing a little, or file open the holes in the base of the shifter.

If you were going for ease of install, then I say go for the metal one since they need no additional fitment mods.

I have both the brass under hood bushings and I have the B&M precision base bushings. IT was part of the B&M adjustable shifter kit..

Engagement is VERY positive, quite knotchy and mechanical like. If you like this feel this set up is amazing! For myself, I give it

there should be 8 pieces in the shifter base bushings and just 2 pieces for the under-hood correct?

If I remember right, changing the underhood bushings will make the greatest difference. Doing the shifter base bushings or shortening the shifter will only give marginally noticeable differences/
