turbo'd ralliart value

ok i'm a college student and i have an 04 ralliart. after graduating and getting a stable job i plan on upgrading to an evo or maybe selling the car and getting a used MR. the car is currently paid off so i have no bills up to insurance and i'm not into flashy things, i'd more rather have speed. i have been thinking about the RRM turbo kit for a while now and trying to justify getting it if i'm only going to have the car for another couple of years. my question is: how much if any would this increase the value of the car? i know dealers don't really like to have modded cars for sale because it usually means theres been some sort of abuse, but ralliarts in my area are rare as it is, so in my thinking a turbo ralliart would be even greater.
thanks, Cameron

It would actually decrease your car's value, as far as trade-in value goes. The only way it would increase would be if you were selling it to another enthusiast, who wanted the turbo RA, and was willing to pay more for it.

Make sense?

I say you will just get HIGH bluebook. Only because all aftermarket mods are frowned upon durring resale, due to the simple fact that people automatically assume hard driving, hence shorter engine life. You might get lucky and get someone that really knows RalliArts, but even they wouldn't go much over bluebook.

You might actually get more by parting out all your mods and returning it back to stock. Read the Evo forums, and they all say the same thing. Nobody wants to buy a modded car!

It wouldn't help your car's value. If you want to go turbo, save all your original parts. When it comes time to sell, return the car to stock, sell it, then sell the turbo kit seperately to someone else. You'll get the most money back that way.

Or you could look into a RIPP supercharger kit. They just finished their first dyno runs on an AT setup (212 hp to wheels with no tuning). They are looking for someone with a MT to "donate" so they can fabricate a MT kit.
