True, A roll cage will help (if you wanna cough upwards of 900 bones). But your car will look like a jungle gym and people will hate getting in and out of your car for fear of banging their heads. (I would know, a friend's Volkswagen has one)

I think a roll cage may be a bit extreme!?
Especially when you can get the job done w/ sway bar, tie bar & strut bar (all in the rear).

Ciclon: You said you got the sway bar for the rear & liked the handling improvement... SOOO... Why not call up RRM & get their other suspension products...!!!??? See how you like it then!!!

there is only ONE sway bar and its from progress. The EVO will not fit. The progress is 22mm and you can get it from RRM or any shop with a progress account. you HAVE to get the upgraded perches through. THis was the first mod I did and it was AWESOME. Also look at this http://www.forums.evolutionm.net/sho...d.php?t=147537 for some really cheap great handling mods. You NEED a rear sway bar. The front is plenty big and will not need to be touched. if the rear end was kicking out on you without it you must have been letting off the gas in a corner cause without it, oversteer is nothing but a dream.

for better handling...the biggest difference will be felt with a good wheel/tire combonation. Get some wider wheels. make sure you get the correct tire size so the overall diameter of the wheel doesn't change and throw off your speedo, etc. also, do your best to get light weight wheels. forged if possible. if you get 18x8 rims that weigh 22lbs, it may improve your handling a little, but it will also kill your acceleration because of the increase in unsprung weight. Next should be coilovers. I saw alot of people talking about tein. they are a really good company. i'd go with tein super street or type FLEX if they make it for your car. Or if you're serious about rally, tein actually makes a custom coilover just for dirt and gravel racing. urethane bushings, urethane motor mounts, rear strut bar, lower tie bar, X brace (if they make it for your car), rear sway bar, roll cage (if you're going all out), have the car seam welded (if you're REALLY going all out lol), inject urethane foam into the wholes in your car to stiffen the chassis without too much more weight...those are all ways to help the handling. when lowering the car, take care not too lower too much. if you lower the car too much you can actually drop the roll center below the center of gravity and actually make body roll worse. remember, the car's chassis can never be too stiff, but the suspension can. good luck with the project.

If yours is 22mm, I got ripped. My Progress swaybar is 19mm. Stock was 12-13mm, if I remember correctly.

Definitely get the stronger perches if you get the bar, though. You'll be glad you did. I also bought stainless bolts and locknuts for mine, and primed/painted the perches with black Rust-oleum before putting them in. The road salt would eat through bare metal in a year or two up here.

I thought it was 22, I remember seeing this on the progress website. I just searched the site and I cannot find any listings for a swaybar for the ralliart. Thanks for correcting me
