I woulda gotten a spec-v over a ralliart if it was available in auto. Northern Virginia traffic is a bi&%h and i have 38 pins in my left knee, so yeah, auto is sorta my only choice

38 pins??? What happened? How does that look? What does it do? Is it permanent? How does it affect everyday life?

Uh... gotta find something to keep it in topic... uuuuh... yeah, the RA as auto and the Spec-V doesn't right?

I would suggest for your next car to go with a triptronic sort of system. You can switch into auto for the commute and then have a little more freedom in the country with shifting.

oh, and so i'm not a complete thread jacker, i've driven both the RA and spec-V on numerous occasions... the write-up was pretty much right-on. i'd go with the RA.

I was next to my friend on the highway the other day and he was in his specV and that extra gear makes a world of difference...

You could've gotten just a normal SE-R it has like 10 less horsepower but it comes in an auto or 5speed, and the spec v only comes in a 6 speed for whoever was asking.

^^^ he's right. Now the SE-R comes in the auto, and the Spec-V comes in the manual. They won't be around much longer either. I think this is their last year.

Scrounge around b15sentra.net and you'll find some information. It's the same reason why the MSP and SVT Focus weren't around for long. The SRT-4 and SI won't be here much longer, and I highly doubt the RA will be here in another few years. Limited production cars.

Unhappy

So to sum it up, people should be left with absolutely no choice at all and just like in the 90's will have to settle for poorly handling, underpowered cars?!?!

Then I hope Mitsubishi goes against the trend and puts a new and improved RA on the market... This would be their best chance to get noticed!

I'm pretty sure they both make about the same whp -- eventhough Nissan rates the Spec-V higher. Actually, I think the SE-R has a faster 0-60 and 1/4 mile b/c it's lighter (Spec-V has a 6-speed and LSD).

It actually wasnt until 2005 that the base SE-R came in an auto. In 2004 (when i was looking for a car) the SE-R's were only manual. But im happy with my purchase.
