I bought my '05 RA 2 months before it even came out (june 2006) because they didnt have any more 04 letf other than auto trannies.. . S&S, Windows tint, 6 cd player. I paid 32kCAD$ tax in . I know I paid a big fat price (still bargained with the seller for a whole 4 hours...) but I dont care, my inssurance is sooooo low (56$CAD/month) and I like the car soooo much . I think the main reason it was that much expensive is because it was the 05 model and we were in mid 04...oh and the car was getting high on demand at that time.

Hey, I was just at the mitsu dealership and they're already selling the new eclipses. The salesman told me that they were stocking up on galants because the new 06 lineup was coming out. Real soon is gonna be a great time to get an '05 Ralliart. Wow, I just sounded like a car commercial. Just wait for the 06's to come out and hit them up hard for an 05.

You have to remember he lives in cali, as do i. Cars are more expensive here. I bought my RA new from dealer for 21 out the door. Apraises at about 17 if i wanna re-sell.

You have to remember that a second-hand car will not have the same awesome warranty as a first-hand one. The 10yr/100k powertrain goes down to 5yr/60k. I don't know what happens to the 5yr/60k bumper-to-bumper or the other ones.

Also check CarsDirect.com for your area. They have it for $16,047 in mine:

Yeah, a dealer in Reno had an '04 for the cheap, but I got mine here in town, and probably overpaid a bit, but I did get the manual (the '04 was an auto) that I wanted in a color I liked more (Graphite Gray) than the one they had (Lab Black.)

It really all comes down to did you get what you want for a price you can afford.
