Broken Tailight

hey guys, i was driving home yesterday and noticed that my right tail light isnt working...the blinker, reverse, and brake lights work but the regular red light when you turn your lights on doesnt....i only have 5000 miles on the car...but i have a subwoofer in the trunk, might have rattled it a bit, im not sure...anyone with a subwoofer/s had the same problem? it seems strange that a almost new bulb should die so fast.
thanks for any input

what kind of bulb did you get? maybe the bulb wasnt good in the first place and just died out... it shouldnt of happened but if you ahve a receipt, take it back and get a new one. also make sure your wires are tightly secured...

Bulbs burn out, buy a new one! They cost a couple bucks....or get LED ones and never have 'em burn out again!

I dont think an LED bulb would function correctly in our taillights, or if it did it wouldnt produce a bright enough light because it is more of a focused beam compared to a basic bulb that produces light over a wider range.

I was just looking at LED bulbs yesterday, they make some that have LEDs pointed out, and then more arranged radially around. You'd get light going in all directions.

I'm thinking about getting them, because the f**king security guards where I work keep slamming my trunk and breaking the filament in my taillight bulbs.

Since our blinkers are (as far as I can tell) controlled by an ECU, they should still flash at the right speed.

They dont make aftermarket tails for 04 and up Lancers. I highly doubt it is your fuse, its just a burnt out bulb. If it still doesnt work after you put the new one in, then yeah check the fuse.

does that fuse replace with one of the extras located behind that little glove box under the stearing wheel?
