This is Rediculous

I've had just about enough of visiting these forums recently. Given the fact that swearing is censored, street-racing is banned, and otherwise a tight ship is run, I'm completely baffled that there's no recourse for Evo owners to come in here and flame other Lancer owners! First, take the VIS racing hood and that mrmefodman joker - after he flamed, had a mod come in and clean up/delete all the bad posts, he then comes BACK to post three replies of the exact same thoughtless, derrogatory nature. What happens? Eventually they get deleted - so what? No ban, no account lock, no anything. In fact, there appears to be nothing stopping an Evo owner from flaming Ralliart owners, but I can't imagine how quickly I'd be kicked if I went to the Evo forums to do that. It appears to be in every other thread - https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...=154012&page=1 - standard "..just buy an Evo" comments from the same Evolution owners. I guess some people don't mind getting constantly insulted by arrogant individuals (EvoM "Community"? Only for those who come with gigantic spoilers from the factory, it would seem), but I've never witnessed such an arrogant group, especially when considering these people are of the same vehicular platform. If would appear the mods don't feel it's an issue/don't care/don't have the ability to do something about it, but I'm done with EvoM for awhile. If I want childish insults and browbeating, I can go back to junior high instead of spending my free time on purpose doing so. Those who know how to reach me, can.

Be the bigger person and just ignore them! It's just talk and opinion crap. I drive a ralliart/ want to get an evo someday but they cant justify my life becasue they own an evo. Most of the guys that own evos round my way arent ******. Some of them did not buy it themselves (they know who they are) but they are still a fellow mitsubishi owner so either congratulate them on their ownership or ignore the *****!

I can't even count how many times I've seen buy an Evo.

It's pretty simple, non-evo owners either can't afford the car, the insurance, or all of the above and want somthing similar. When extra money comes in they can buy parts for it. I personally can't afford the damn insurance, I could get the car and do all the maintenance and insurance payments but I wouldn't do anything else but pay for a damn car. I don't see what the big deal about making the base model lancers look or perform better. Sure it might not be practical but either is paying $1,000/month+ for a car(unless you can easily afford it).

^ so true !!!

If not the insurance I would probably be driving one sometime soon but hey I'm 19 years old and most of the evo owners are probably paying the same premium for their evo as I'm paying for my OZ.

You guys shouldn't worry about people like that since they are most likely losers to be flaming Ralliarts/OZs/Ls/Es.

Anyone who has to belittle someone else (for whatever reason) in order to make themselves feel better, has issues to deal with LOL! Don't sweat the insecure kiddies out there.

well, although i dont have the wing (RS) or the evo ix bumper, i will take both sides hear. i like lancers in general and almost bought one a couple years back (ended up with a 98 gst instead). i dont get the flaming at all. it makes no sense and i have only made one comment to a kid about getting an evo b/c he said he always gets left behind caravanning, but it was w/ a lol. we are all the same type of people and we all have been duped by mitsu. ive got nothing but love for my little brothers. on the other hand modding a lancer is difficult. not much of an aftermarket. so i see why some evo owners get upset when they hear a lancer owner complain about the nature of modding a lancer or how it is not fast enough even though they put down enough to have bought an evo. i think the saying goes something like you made your bed.... either way i understand your point and i understand some evo drivers points, but in general i agree that evo drivers are a harsh to ralliart drivers. my $$$$$$.02

Dude seriously now, grow up and buy a friggin EVO already! JK man, honestly just relax. It's a car forum, you will undoubtly hear your car sucks, go buy this, Got Rice and the occasional 2 fast 2 furious comment. Best thing to do is just ignore it. I had the same feelings you had and stopped coming here for a long time and joined lancernation.net instead. But in all honesty Evom.net (admist the retardedness at times) has very knowledgeble ppl. Ignore the garbage and take in the good info dude.

I agree with all statements made. But hes very right, 65% of the people that drive Evos are total ****** (theres been polls!!). Think the SRT-4 guys talk **** to all their R/T friends?(I'm not sure, but i doubt it) It shows a very lack of class on their part and it shouldnt happen. BUT then again this is EVOLUTIONm.net. Not LANCERm.net.

Call this a flame if you like, but you're no better. If you wanna leave, leave. No need to announce it. No one is going to agree with you and simply never come back. Nor is anyone going to get really reflective about what they may have done wrong now that you're leaving. Shrug it off, this is the "innernet". Half reason anyone gets flamed in the first place is for starting threads just like this.

These forums can be a very helpful resource. If you see them as anything other than that, you're taking them too seriously. If I had an evo I'd probably say the same stuff. If money were no option I'd have purchased the EVO over the RA. Doesn't mean I don't love my car, or let others influence how I feel about it...

Your right.

I personally apologize for the behavior of "some" of these people.

No one should act that arrogant but they do and they will.

I'm annoyed with how many people openly give advice when they have no idea what they are talking about, but what can you do? Just let it go.
