Careful, skipping scheduled maintenance is grounds for Mitsu to void your warranty.

I think places like Jiffy Lube and what not can do scheduled maintenance tho, and it costs less.

Check your owners manual. It gives the details on what they do for those big check ups.

I just took my wife's OZ in for the 45000 mile service, and it was pretty okay.

My car is at 1700 miles yesterday, and I'm planning to get the oil changed to synthetic at 3000.

ive been having no problems so far which is good... imo- think its stupid they can void the warantee just b/c of that... why pay big $ for the same things another place would do for cheaper... i dont have $300 to **** away for little work

I just got an email from my dealer saying that I'm due for the 30,000 mile service. My car's got 43,000 on it. It's gonna blow their minds when I bring it in for the timing belt change in 17,000 miles.

I'm sure it varies by dealership. I think the one near me said it would cost $300 which is CHEAP. I remember when I wanted to have someone change the timing belts on my DSMs, the places I asked wanted anywhere up to $600. Parts for that were about $100, and I eventually got it down so I could do a timing belt change in a DSM in a couple hours.

I'll probably do the second change at 120k myself to save money, but the engine is still under warranty, so I'll take it in and have it done the first time.

Which reminds me, I wonder if they'll still give me the awesome discount on parts that I used to get there..?

EDIT: Sorry for the OT, everyone.

950. I want to switch to synthetic at 1000. I can't wait to start to really drive this thing, besides the quick 130mph I've been driving this thing like a granny
