i must be in the minority that like the 04 front ends... i think the 05 is pretty hideous

 

probably because the 04 and 05 are the same, and the other 99% of us like them equally

I like the 04-05 front end a hell of a lot better than the 06.

Yep, and either on the pics or in person, it's really strange to look at. Actually, they tried to remediate this by making a semi-crease in the grill... but it doesn't really work.

On the positive side, ever since I saw the '06, I'm much more satisfied with my car!

Because of the side airbags, they are standard now. Anyone with an 04/05 with side airbags will weigh about what an 06 weighs.

no, I think it comes appart. That's was a dumb move my Mitsu joining Sun Roof + Half the Sound + Side Airbags. Some people would like the Sunroof, but will not want to spend extra money on the sound (thinking on aftermarket ones) or do not care about extra air bags.

 

and I read on the forums that anyway the CD changer will work only on the OEM radio, so that's why it was a dumb idea of splitting them.

Or maybe not a dumb idea at all, but a "Smart Marketing Department Decision" so they could just charge us more for equipment that otherwise will probably they will not be selling if providing them appart.

According to their site, the side airbags will be standard on ALL '06 Lancers. So yes, they are forcing people to buy the side airbags.
