Importing Parts
I did try a quick search and didn't find much, I apologize in advance if this has been covered before.
That being said has anyone gone through the process of importing parts to the states? The reason I ask is I have a friend currently teaching in Japan and he said he wouldn't mind shipping parts to me provided I pay for them and the ridiculous shipping costs, I've looked into shipping (around $200) and If you got all the parts in one shot it wouldn't as bad as over many shipments. There's acouple parts I know I want off the top of my head, and maybe more when I find out what there is accually out there for the car in the market there. Anyone else know of parts that would be interesting to see shipped here?
Who knows, maybe a group buy could be setup through my company in the future if there is alot of interest? Although thats a different story and I'm not exactly sure how that work here.

When I had some stuff shipped in I had them declare it a gift of used car parts from one colecter to another. That worked but it was on smaller stuff.
You might be looking at port fees and stuff for something larger. You really need to find someone who is familliar with doing it or talk to the company that your thinking of using for shipping. They are going to have a much better idea.
Some people in the military have flown stuff back or people have flown with it and pay the extra lugage fee.
I'd love to find out about getting the rear wing exstender on the new Evo Wagon and/or the Ralli//Art wing on the new Evo Wagon show car.
