no no no, the wide open gap that spans all the way across the front is much more of a mouth looking similarity that the 04. at least we have those decent looking bars that come down to meet that bottom lip and separate it from the fogs, it lines up nice with the headlight curve into the bumper.

Went to the dealer, saw the car, don't like the front end. The salesman also said it sounds different. The seats do have a slight weave in them and the cf dash trim is different but looks just as bad. I'm glad I got the 05' instead of waiting for sure.

The grill doesn't look good and the logo looks really cheap and out of place, unless it has the mesh grill.

 

After driving an 04 and 06, they sound IDENTICAL. Only difference is the first 100-250 miles the engine sounds kind of ****ty while it breaks in, after that it sounds good.
What color was the car you saw?

 

No they have the 04, I have the 06 now.

For what? The 04 is fine, I just had to have the 5 speed though, so I traded up, spent a bit of extra money and the stick was well worth it.

Man I don't like that front bumper! I so want to like that car and accept it in the family... but damn it's ugly. I can't help it, sorry. I thought it would grow on me but still nothing. I mean, it's a Mitsubishi... and a RalliArt to boot! But I just can't stand seing this front facia. I hope mine doesn't get totalled and they get me an '06 instead... I'd fight them 'till the end, but then if they still wanted me to have it I'd probably look for an '04 bumper in a scrapyard or something.

That airbag thing looks like a nice upgrade to the system though. It's just sad that they decided to put the indicators right smack in the center of the dash though...

Well, as you guys can see, I ust can't get exited about that refreshed edition of the RA. Sorry captain... On the other hand, it makes me like my '04 even more.

its honestly not as bad as you're all making it out to be... for a distance the change isnt very noticable... i bet it would look very nice if u could put on some eyelids and some nice black mesh in the bottom.
on the topic of grill mesh... wut do you think about black grill mesh in front of the fog lights on the 04? i was thinking about it

I'd still say stick with "around" the fog lights. In front might look a little too tankish with light shining through mesh wire

 

I like the inside of it. but I'm not a big fan of the frount bumper

damn i'm loving the new front bumper and grill! i freakin love the ralliart stripes badge in the grill!!! i gotta get that badge!~

the off black interior is nice too. the steering wheel is alot better than the outdated basic steering wheel design that the 02-03s have. and the relocated emergency button...still big a distracting but oh well atleast they moved it and made use of the huge amount of space it took between the vents.

overall its a good re-vamp of the last years model subtle but tasteful and not overdone like the new Si hatchbacks.
