Exclamation Fog Projectors > Headlight Conversion...?

I was wondering, has anybody tried or thought about using the projectors from our fogs to do a headlight conversion on our stock lamps? I wan't projectors and the HID package, but I wanna do the projector first. Me and rigo (lookslikeanevo) was talking about it and said projectors w/ out the HIDS on our car would look better than our stock lights, so ive been thinking about this. My friend has a celica GT-s and dam, it looks good with the projectors, I have to double take because I think he had HIDS... but nope, just stock light w/ projectors.

Is it possible? I don't use my fog lights anyways. I think it would be a cool weekend project.

Try it out and see what happens. I think rigo told me before we could buy acura tl, or tsx projectors with hids for under $300. I always use my fogs so i would like to keep them.

personally i wouldn't do it with the fog lamp projectors, they are no where near like the one you get on a Bimmer or Acura, they are not made for that type of lighting system, for the fog light it's fine but not for a headlamp

That fog light housing is shaped to spread a wide swath of light, and not very far ahead, as all fog lights are designed to do. Without changing the shape of the internal housing, if you modify them to fit as headlights, you'll get the same result. Lots of light out to the side, but not far foreward. Try finding a projector set that was designed as headlights. Joe.
