Then again, if the wing was installed under the bumper, it could be used to cut the grass everytime the car rolls into the driveway... 2 birds with one stone as they say.

Does anyone know where you can find an EVO wing, OEM or aftermarket, that will fit the stock holes of the 2006 Lancer RA? I didnt want to drill holes on a brand new car.

Most spoilerless RA's we've seen on here lately looked very good... the most important factor being the wheels on them. When the spoiler is off, the wheels alone set the tone for the look of the car. So guys who chose superb wheels get a great looking car when parting out with their spoiler.

I personnaly think that the spoiler trend his close to being over and that we'll see more and more cars without spoilers unless they're functionnal wings for tracks use.

That is a big call saying that the wing/spoiler trend is over.... sure the factory ones for the RA's don't look anything special in fact I am glad mine will not be coming with one as it looks too much like an after thought but the evo 8 and 9 looks brilliant with a mild bodykit even if you just have the lips for front and rear it is a far better look than the non spoiler look.... but hey thats just my 2c worth

Yeah not feeling that wing.

Seriously, this is a great topic. The GTZ thing is out of the question, but we should really look into wing alternatives. Many of us, don't like the stock wing as much, its not very agressive, yet EVO wings can be considered unnecessary and even foolish and attracting of negative attention. Theres gotta be something in the middle that looks good on our cars.

I really liked the idea of that little trunk lip/mini-spoiler that someone suggested on another thread last week... it kinda gives the trunk the right shape when you pull the wing off. It's just enough so the car doesn't look like an ordinary sedan anymore...

Also, I can't imagine they'd ask for more than 100$ for such a small part (unless it's CF of course).

I don't think it would attract negitive attention if it was mixed with other parts of different kits sure if you had the full EVO kit then yes you would get slammed... I think what I like the most about putting a spoiler on my car like that is that it reminds me of my Skyline that I had as the spoilers are almost the same... but if you look around there are other makes that have a similar spoiler, WRX...

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the factory evo wing and darn near swapped for one myself. If the EVO didn't exist, it would be the perfect wing for our cars, bar none. In my mind, i'd do it but other people don't see it like that. Its just that when people see the wing on our cars, they think evo unless they really know about cars, even still they'd do a double take. Many think that its false advertising and we have real stories on this board of people definitely getting negative attention from the wing. I'd like to find a different wing that looked cool but in a different style not associated directly with the EVO.

I saw a wing on an rsx that looks really good .It's like the evo one but just abit smaller and the vertical section are a few degrees tilted to the inside like /-----\ . it definitely have to look good on our cars . i'll be going to a dealer that sells it to see if it fits on my r/a . The price is about 275.00 and comes painted!
