I know I said header, but you know what I mean... get it upgraded all the way from the front. And BTW, if you meant our stock setup is 2.5", you're mistaken. It's 2.225", which is perfect for N/A setups but a little restrictive for your turbo engine.

If you're downpipe and the outlets on your cat. (is it still stock?) are more than 2.225", I suggest you keep them...if not, you should seriously consider a better cat. (and you said you'd be upgrading the dp anyway).

But as I mentionned, this is not the cheapest route... it's just the best one.

If you have a turbo, you are flowing more air, end of story. the 2"ID piping would grow a bit. I will warn you though, if you want a straight-through muffler, it will be LOUD with our engine, so dont skimp. Or just get a good oval muffler like a borla and save some $.

I did the dev work to help get the VRS muffler. They havnt sold many, but the quality is top notch. Check my profile for pics.

btw, who did the turbo install for you? what turbine and how much boost?
Hey thanks Blk-Majik!!! I was able to contact VRS and they said that they are going to make me a catback exhaust! WHOOOOO!!! I'm going to get a magna flow muffler so it's not going to be straight-through. I'm going to have a resonator too for a more quiet sound! Thanks again Blk!!! And everybody else's input too. thanks!

^^good man, i was reading through and was saying the whole time to myself that it would be just stupid if you were gonna go with the axel-back on a turbo. Greates man, you're like the exact replica of me.. I need the flow of the exhaust to help out the turbo so it wont sufficate (mine being only a 16G though) but i dont want some loud exhaust that may make it sound like some ovegrown weedwacker or something. My cars still in the shop at shearer motorsports, but i cant wait to see how it runs once its out. Check Back in with me once you got ure cat-back in, thanks!

16G turbo? You have R///R turbo kit? If so how's that 'up pipe' working out for you? I'll let you know when I get the exhaust and I'll try to post up some pics too.

lol nah its not Road Race, i got the 16G turbo put it on a custom log manifold. Yea its not tubular, but its hell of a lot cheaper. Before it got started working on, I was like make it like the the Road Race manifold, then hes telling me that all Road Race does is run that 'up pipe' from the stock manifold. I got everything polished and chrome coated for a nice bling factor though.. ill have some pics up asap

Greates, how much you pay for yours?

Road Race - I dont want to seem like I have negative feedback towards ya, but you guys are the best company out there :-D

nice, custom is the only way to go if you find the right guy. I paid 1800 for the custom turbo and parts, fuel injectors and pump, labor and chrome/ polishing. Then i got the hks bov for 250, and still need some kind of fuel management system for it. i know the GReddy EManage wont work, but i need something cheap for about the same price ($400ish) got any advice?

S-AFC with AEM. All you really need man, is a boost controler with a air/fuel controler, and you should be good to go! AEM would be over the extreem if you REALLY want to toggle with EVERY little thing in your engine from the driver's seat. But I got the S-AFC II and planning on getting my boost controller soon, and I'm done! How much boost are you pushing?

I heard some EMS made by Wolf3D had some that worked pretty good with the RA. Never really heard of them though. Cost roughly the same as AEM's stand alone.

i emailed some company that caries the Wolf 3D EMS yesterday, dont know why cause i know its gonna be about $1500 im sure. Was just gonan ask you if you had the price for the apexi, im really leaning towards that now. Without the fuel management or boost controller right now, i got it at 6psi... once installed ill get it going about 8psi.. that should keep the engine in good shape for now.

P.S -I was at the shop yesterday and heard the hks bov, wow is all i gotta say! verroom psssttt....... lol

keep this conversation going =) we have all be stuck on the electronics, so whatever you or your shops figure out that works, please fill the rest of us in! i was going to try the wolf3d, but, like you said, it alone cost more than everything else might cost!

Yeah once you get the AFC you'll be safe at 8psi that's what I'm pushing. You'll even be safe at 9! You'll be GONE! You'll even beat EVO's! (not off the line of course) I've learned that a stock evo would be nothing but an SRT-4 if is wasn't for AWD. I SMOKED SRT-4s on just 6 pounds of boost! THAT's IT!! And the SRT-4 are at like 18psi or something like that!? I mean I like EVO's and all but I think people just over rate them. But anyway, Yeah you'll be safe at 9 psi, but anything above that should only be temporary due to the RA's little baby rods. Get some forged internals and set that baby up to 14 psi!!! That's my next upgrade. Should be about this time next year. Because pistons + rods = $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus with those upgrades, your engine will shake off 'knock' like nothing! But if I were you I would go this route:
-Save for APEXi S-AFC II (aroun $400) set it to 8psi (just to be safe) And put a WHOPPIN on SRT-4s!!
-save for boost controller (around $400-$500) so you can set different boost at different gears, so you won't be pushing 8 psi in 1st gear! 1st gear you should run 6 psi, 2nd and 3rd should be 8 psi then 4th: 7 psi and maybe 5th should be either 7 or 6 psi.
-then I'd save for LSD
-and once I have all that, then I'd save for my forged internals. maybe some solid motor mounts for the side to reduce your hop on take off.

the Stand Alone would be totally up to you. I think my boost controller and AFC would be enough for me. I don't plan to RACE to walmart everyday! But I think that would be a perfect set up for a street car.
