Fit the hex wrench in, then use a regular wrench for a handle and crack that nut!

It was pretty damn hard to do on mine too.

The clock spring is behind the wheel. It's a long white cord thingy with a plastic shield.

Make sure you pull your wheel off SLOWLY once you get that bolt off.

I had a bit of a scare with mine!

Really it's pretty easy to do. I take no responsibility if you follow these directions tho...

1. Disconnect battery (wait for a while)
2. Remove access panel and disconnect horn/airbag and cruise wires and the ground.
3. Crack that bolt off (this part is a bee-otch!)
4. SLOWLY slide the wheel off, keeping the clock spring as in place as possible.
5. SLOWLY slide the new wheel on, connect various wires, tighten it down, replace access panel, connect battery.

I wish i would have done a few "in progress" pics. When/if I replace my RA and put the Evo wheel in my wifes OZ (she loves that thing) I'll do some process shots.

yes and no. the clock spring contains the wires that turn off your blinker after you take your turn. it also has the connectiongs on the bottom for your horn and airbag. if you break it well you can take out the long white cord and just put the plastic back on and have to manually turn off your blinker everytime. or buy a new one from mitsu whicch is 200$+
i know i broke mine. luckily the person i bought the wheel from sent me his from his evo.
