cf hood cracked

Overnite is very hard to deal with. They are a smaller company now because of those types of problems. They should have shipped it averritt express they are probly the easiest company out there to deal with on freight.

they finally patched me through to some guy who is supposed to look at it but all i got was a machine...i left a message but i doubt he'll respond...but at least now i have 2 numbers to call everyday and complain...jsut keep 'em coming!

Sorry to hear about your hood. Mine was damaged in shipping to. I called RRM and spoke with Rob. he told me that i was S.O.L. the damage wasn't claimed on delivery so there is nothing they could/would do. also the quality of the hood isnt the best. you can see dimples and wavy spots all over it. most likely from a poor seal on the vacuum. anyway, this is just motivating me to learn how to work with CF so i can fix my hood.

well i got everything faxed to them today and now i just have to keep waiting for them to call me...the box isn't really broken, its just sort of dented in a little...i don't see how the cracks got there. but the cf is great, theres no blemishes, which is another reason why i wanted this one to not be broken!

im going to call them tomorrow and check up on whats going on...i think this whole thing is intirely f'ed up. Im about to just go pay to have to cracks sealed so they dont grow and put it on my car.

so what,are you suppose to open your box and examine everything while the delievery guy just waits there for a signature????

i don't really feel like starting a new thread because we're already talking about the hood but i was curious as too if your just supposed to leave that vent open...but what about the rain and crap? wouldn't it screw up the electicals?

you can get hood vents for it

Yes, actually. When I order really expensive stuff, like a computer, I actually make the delivery man wait while I cut open the box and make sure there isn't any internal damage. Takes 30 seconds of his time at most.

I got screwed with my Accolade kit... my body shop didn't check it and signed for it... the box was even crushed... so now the body shop has to fix the rear bumper... I feel for you...
