Need some help

Ok so I don't really know what to do now. In January I'm 99% sure that I will be moving to texas to work and will get a very good pay check every week.

Heres my questions:
- if you had the money would get an Evo or would you try to make the fastest RA?
- does anyone know the specs/times of the fastest RA is?
- AWD or FWD?
- also my RA is an AUTO so would you trade it in to get a stick or would you get it converted to a stick?

Please no one bash me or call me a n00b with these questions...I just need yalls opinions.

Hmm, converting to stick would require alot of work. If you would trade you might as well just get an evo unless you really want the fastest RA, which would require a butt load of money. I've heard of 700hp RA's out there but I dunno of the truth, specs, or cost of them.

If you wanna be unique and have a impressivly fast RA, have fun. You could do the same with an evo though.

Evo. Trading in for a MT Ralliart or swapping trannies would be a waste of money. Either make your AT Ralliart fast, or upgrade to an Evo.

honestly, I would say it depends on how good of a paycheck your talking about, and what other bills your gonna have to pay. obviously the gas is more because it requires premium and its not as fuel efficient. Then insurance will probably be 1/3 more or even higher. And if your RA is paid off, you will now have a car payment if you get an evo.

now as far as making the "fastest RA" around, I would personally say thats dumb. If your RA is a daily driver then have 400+ hp is worthless. The only place that kind of power is good is on a drag strip with slicks. That much power on a FWD car with a 205 or 215 wide tire seems a little excessive.

the ralliart 4g69 has alot of potential but it will take a while. I would go wit the evo no doubt it , it just has so many more categories or basically almost every category over the ralliart in terms of speed, handling, after-market modding, the looks, and etc. I can go on forever

I have a auto ralliart too, but i wouldnt doubt myself once to own an evo though i will still miss the ralliart though

I would just go for an Evo if you have the money.

To make a ralliart be able to run with an EVO you'd have to spend more than the difference u'd pay.

go for the Evo

depends on what you want to use the car for....if you want a car just commute from A->B, then RA is already good enough!! FWD or AWD doesn't matter for daily driver...& auto is even better for daily driver especially in the city.

Have you driven an Evo yet? Drive an Evo, then you'll know what you want.

Myself, I'd trade my Ralli for an Evo in a second, not cause I hate the Ralliart, but the Evo is bad@$$!!

I'd go with the EVO

I have a 2004 Ralliart now, and really want to trade in and get an EVO but comparing both cars in a 5 yr ownership shows that you'll pay almost 3K more to insure the EVO. Really good info. on intellichoice.com

I would turbo the Ralliart, leave it an auto, and save for an evo after that. That way you have an auto daily driver that will stab like crazy and still cost you less than $26k total(ish). And when you get your Evo, your driveway is gonna look freekin' sweet. Get the Evo in the same color as your Ralliart. I'm doing it a little backwards of that. I'm going the buy the IX first, keep using my auto Ralliart as my commuter car to burn up the warranty faster, then put the RRM turbo on it. When I'm through. both cars are going to be an absolute kick in the *** to drive. And the Ralliart will be a total sleeper. I won't be making any body mods and will paint the intercooler black so it's harder to see.

Oh..... And the Evo will satisfy you when you need to drive a stick, but you'll still have your auto for the daily commute while you're drinking coffee and shovelling down fries because I left for work too late. I mean.... Well, you understand.

It really comes down to what you want.

The Evo is a great car but I'd love to have my Sportback Ralliart Turbo tearing around as a daily driver for daddy. "HEY big, ugly SUV, You think your going to cut this wagon off Vooom!!!"; " No problem I can make that yellow light two blooks away, Squeelll."
Oops, said to much. LOL.
