Rear Defroster Question

My RA is only a few months old. And I do not have tints. But I noticed that the top 2 lines of my rear defroster are not working. Anyone have a similar issue? Should this be covered?

Haven't checked yet about my rear defroster. I know if only defrosts about a couple inches below the top of the windsheild and about 3 inches up from the bottom of the windsheild... and Yes it should be covered by the warranty, unless it's an aftermarket windshield...

I use mine, and it works the way it's supposed to. I leaves a little strip across the top and bottom, and just defrosts the middle.

If you have a couple traces not heating up, look very closely at them. There is probably a scratch or a crack running through them. They can be repaired. Many places that repair/replace auto glass can fix defroster traces.

Thanks for the response. The problem I'm having is that the top 2 "defroster traces" or lines don't seem to heat up.

Here is a link to a page that covers the process of diagnosing and repairing the traces.

As I said before, many places that repair or replace auto glass will be able to do this for a few bucks.
