Not that I know of. To repaint the car another color is going to be INSANE. Its not a simple couple hundred job from maaco. To get a true good quality paint job is going to cost you a few thousand. Now if you were getting it repainted the same color it would cost about half.

^agreed. I used to own a red 1990 Nissan 300ZX. It had good paint, but I was curious how much it would cost to make it a midnight blue. The body shop quoted me at almost $4,000 for a color change, and around $2000 for the same color. The reason for the big price difference for the color change is because they have to do the door jams, truck, possibly engine bay, and all the nooks and crannies you don't have to get repainted when you do the same color over again.

But if you did all the prep work yourself youd save yourself an a$$load. You would have to sand it down to the bare steel if you were going to do a complete color change.

True, but he has to have the knowledge of HOW to do that, and if its not done right, it'll end up costing the same because the body shop will have to re-do it over again anyways.

i doubt i would really get it repainted, i was just curious. But if i did decide to get it painted I would have a buddy of mine to the prep work. He is a trained body man, but he doesnt have a shop to paint it.

I was close to getting my RA repainted because I got into an accident and about 50% of my car got all scratched up...The whole right side of my car went through severe scratch damsges, but then I realized the left side was left untouched so I didn't even bother trying. It's in the shop now and I'm leaving the same color of paint, gotta love that red! If I were to paint it, I was looking at the evo's electric blue paint, it looks so nice! But yeah, there's my story, and just not to confuse anyone, I didn't go in for an estimate for paint...
