Hi i bought the car and found out there is a scratch
Hi
i just bought the car and in the same day i found out there is a scratch ( half a business card ) near the back window
i went back to the dealership and showed one of the sales person the scratch
and he told me that they can fix it without problem since it is not so noticable
im seen the dealer tomorow for it and wondering what should i exacly tell them??

better leave it. my dealer made even worse for the small scratch. all they do is use the touch up paint. The real job requires to paint the entire section which is not really necessary unless you have so many scratches.
Good Luck I had a scratch in the hood of my car when i bought it and the dealer said oh yeah we'll take care of it you will not even know its there... bull crap all they did was put some stuff in it that looks like white out....

Just an FYI, please dont tell us everything that happens with your car. Welcome to the boards, but please realize that posts like "i just got a new car" and not even post any pics of it is kinda pointless. Thanks
I got a little chip on the edge of the door, cant see it unless u open the door in front - so not too bad - still getting the touch up from the dealer to match it.
It sucks when its new and something takes away from it huh

When i got mine I drove it home at 12:30 am, so it was pretty dark outside. The next day I went to look at my new toy and on the pass. side skit there was a pretty deep scratch about as long as a bus card and 1/8 of an inch deep. I took it back to have them fix it and the manager told me "what did you hit?" and that he wouldent fix it. At least they are fixing yours ^_^

Just ask them really nicely to use a new buffer pad and make sure that YOU actually wash your car and get rid of all the dirt (that's what causes the swirls) is gone. Most mechanics figure that if you don't care about your car, why should they?
Sorry but you normally don't get a quality car wash from the dealership, love your car and use a little elbow grease. Afterward make sure and use a top notch wax!!! Apply several layers to help protect your paint. Mitsu paint is becoming notorious for chipping lately.

do it yourself or make sure to be very clear with the dealership.. also it would be to your advantage to take before and after pictures. don't let them screw up a beautiful car like the ralliart
ha... scratch... thats nothing! when i got my car it was delivered to me in the dark... The next morning i found the car to be completely covered in white overspray from them painting their sign in the parking lot. It was extremely noticeable on my BLACK car. They had to strip off the paint sealent and redo it.
