i was wondering if anyone can help me.....i have a 06 ralliart and it has a spoiler on it with the 3rd brake light on it...i am wanting to put an alluminum wing on it, but a lot of people r teling me it is illegal to take off the 3rd brake light that comes on the newer vehicles, is this true or not in some states or all states.....

about the 3rd brakelight, i heard it was illegal but when i put my 7 wing on it doesnt have one. i've been pulled over a couple times but the bacon never said anything about it not being there.
- now addressing the aluminum wing...... NO
look at a fiberglass or carbon fiber wing, possibly even an evo.... i went with the 7's to avoid as many "poser" comments as possible.
seriously, to save you the future headache, especialy on these forums, you dont wanna be the guy that has the aluminum spoiler

 

get the evo 6 and u keep the 3 brake light on it!!!!!!!

 

I'll give you a dollar too...aluminum wing = Unless that is if you drift, or go 150+ mph regularly.

 

If you do end up getting a wing with no brake light, our car is wired to be able to use the third brake light from the base lancers that goes in the rear window. Your option would be to buy one of these from your dealer and install it.
