now a bigger problem with my headlights.... ;(

ok idk what else to do so here's whats goin on.

last week, one bulb went out. i bought a new set and they both work fine, but, when i turn my headlights all the way on, theres barely any light and it looks like its on the low beam. (as if you were to turn the headlights up one instead of two)

first the drivers side was doing this, now both are. when i turn the headlights on all the way w/ the fog lights it looks really cool b/c u cant do this reguarly with our cars. (meaning u cant turn the headlights once and put on foglights but now it looks this way )its hard to explain but i hope u can picture what im saying...ill try to take a pic if needed.

anyways- i have no light shining thru now except a little.. the headlights are turned all the way on but they look as if they are 'halfway' on... lol i cant explain its difficult..

my b/f was trying to fix it for me and he said that the plugs are messed up and that i need new ones... is that possible? if so can i get them anywhere? lol- i wanted to ask u guys b/c we all have the same car and hopefully someone experienced this before... the wires are also a little loose he says..but what i dont get is that both of them are out.

i have jdm headlights shipped from china so i cant take this to the dealership b/c they mght void my warantee... u think?! we had to make holes in the actual headlight to get the bulbs through so its obvious these arent manufacturer headlights....

does anyone know what the problem might be and how to fix it?!! it would be a great help bc i dont want to get pulled over for this...even though it looks real good haha...i just get no light exccept the foglights

I think that is the main problem.
No -- the dealership probably won't help you since they are aftermarket.

Do you still have your OEM headlights? If you have them then you should probably test them to see that the wiring is still good. If they work ok....then your problem lies in the aftermarket lights.
Good luck.....and try not to drive at night .

i had the same problem. i had to go through 2 sets of tid bulbs because the bulbs kept on blowing, luckily it had 1year warranty. everything is fine now, u might want to check the wiring n the harness.

Just take it to a garage or auto sparky, I've had headlight trouble with past cars and they can be really annoying (as you know!) like, replacing one bulb and end up having one significantly brighter than the other when they are the same type etc. Shouldn't charge much to fix it, may even know the reason and solution to get your import lights working. Resistance or something like that, I dunno (thats why I had the auto electrician sort it!).
