Indy Area People! Would anybody like to help me adjust my valves?

I have my 06 RA and I've had it for about a month and a half and I have 1600 miles on it.

It sounded like a semi-quiet sewing machine when I got it but now there's a very distinct tick sound that I know for a fact is not supposed to be there. I'm 99.9999% sure adjusting the valves would quiet the whole thing down and would like to just attempt to do so myself before I drop it by the stealership.

If anybody in the Indy area (preferrably somebody that has done this before) would like to meet up and help me with this [not do it for me, but just help] drop me a PM.

I've printed the how-to and I could do it on my own but I'd feel more comfortable working on my "new baby" with somebody else's guidance.

Thanks!

Mike

Edit: Anytime Tuesday would be great, I live about 20 miles south of Indy in Franklin.

You're positive that it's not just your injectors firing? They're pretty noisy, and sound like ticking. If I lived closer to ya, I'd be happy to help you out. If you wanted to wait until Junej, we could do it before WWII.

Mike.....I think what you might be hearing is the lifter tick? That is perfectly normal with the lightweight oil that is recommended.
If it is not that.....take it to the dealer. If something is truly wrong, they should fix it under warranty.

I know what hte lifter tick sounds like, was leaving it alone...

But now it sounds like 1 of the valves is REALLY tapping... not like it's gonna jump outta the valve cover but like it's way out of adjustment.

I would take it by the dealership but I really don't want to hassle with that if I can just adjust it and be done with it.
