Question need advice on check engin light!

I just got a oil change and I went to synthetic on friday I filled up my tank and went for a rip. I did drive a little harder then normal. Then after that I let my girlfried drive and it was her second lesson on 5 speed and she stalled it a few times and their was a few bogged starts. Right after her last bad start " didn't grind the gears though" the check engin light came on. My car is only at 40,000 km
could it be the oil change, me driving it hard to see my top speed or the bad stalles and starts or a combination? I work in sales at a mitts dealer and my car is still on warenty so I am not to worried about the cost but what do you guys think it could be. I love my car and the light on is freakin me out I don't even want to drive it, Is it safe too? Anyways if anyone has any ideas that would be great!

Read this thread, probably the same thing. Nothing to worry about.

I'd reset the ECU and then investigate further if it came back.

And go "test drive" a different car to teach the GF how to drive stick.

it is jsut the bad stalls. My wife did the same thing. I took it in and the Mitsu folks fixed it right up.
