good for you, you didnt want to put an evo wing on your car, some other people want to. i personally have been mistaken for an evo 5 or 6 times and my ralliart is completely stock. i would put an evo wing on jsut so people get beat and they think its an evo, then when they dont hear a turbo they are all bummed out that their car is slow.

evo owners need to pull their noses out of the damn sky and realize they arent better than anyone.

i'd keep it wingless if you don't have one yet. or get some CF trunk! thats just me.

 

For real, the evo spoiler looks good on the right ralliart. Only on the heavily modified ralliarts, and only if it is the real carbon one.

There are too many stock looking ralliarts with bad style and taste, with that damn evo spoiler bolted on. Those are the ralliarts that most people see and think look stupid and they are right.

Out of 100 ralliarts, 3 of them probably look good enough and modded up enough to get away with it, and not even have evo owners laugh at.

 

Personally for you to post up should I get this or not kind of tells me that you like the wing... correct... so if you like it, get it, and you should not care so much about what other people think, I mean it is your car right so you do with it what makes you happy if we all did what someone else thinks then we may as well just keep the car stock and not modify at all - our cars when modified is a in your face way of reflecting our own personality

I am collecting my genuine secondhand black EVO 7 wing on Tuesday, now to make mine slightly different I am having the side bits colour matched to my car (Dark Blue) and have the center piece paint Black ( it may only need a polish to make it nice) but the thing is you can take bits and pieces from different cars and models and make it your own.... and hey it's not you that has a problem with wanting to be an evo it is those others that don't want you to be you.

 

Not that anyone cares, but im not getting the evo spoiler anymore. A simple picture on RRM changed my mind completely. I saw a picture of two evos with a ralliart in the middle of them. The ralliart did not have the evo spoiler and it looked awsome because it didn't look like it was trying to fit in with the evos. I really like that look. It had the ralliart style cf spoiler on it and really looked like it fit the car, and could care less about the evos. I really believe the evo spoiler makes the ralliart and the driver of it look silly only to people that know about the evo. To people that don't know about the evo and don't really know about cars, to them it might look cool.

It's funny how I changed my mind completely at the glance of a picture. Thanks road race motorsports! and yeah, that car might not be an ra, someone said it was the oz but same idea.

LOL! That's how I like some people to respond, especially when it is those type of people that think they're the hot sh*t. I respect others' spaces. I try not to tail gate or cut people off, but when the opportunity comes along when someone wants to pick on me... they better watch out. You also gotta know when to back off. I don't mess with GTO's--beautiful cars, I don't mess with 'em. My fiance believes in this rule: "People who talk a lot of crap about their cars saying how fast it is, it is probably bull. People who have done a lot to their cars are humble."

I've been thinking a lot about the issue now. Not to bash Subaru's or anything, but my fiance and I make fun of the new blue ones with those huge spoilers. We remark how goofy they look, but I've been thinking that would make my Ralliart look more aggressive. The question is what kind of spoiler? Don't drop your jaw, but I can get a factory Evo 8 spoiler for a little more than $200.

better than me huh? i never once said that i have an evo spoiler on my car. i laugh at people who have a bone stock engine in their ES and have a body kit, chrome rims and a mismatched evo spoiler, yeah that looks tacky. like stated before an evo spoiler will look right on the right ralliart. if they have a lot of work done then why not? look at the RRM ralliart, taking evo's on the track... guess what, that car has had an evo spoiler on it before. im sure the guys there would be willing to bust out the turbo ralli against an evo on a track any day of the week.

just because your car is more expensive and has a turbo and AWD doesnt mean youre better than i am... i think of it like this..

as far as putting the evo spoiler on your car bud, i wouldnt do it unless the car has some more exterior work done.

 

the crazy thing here that makes me really laugh is that the amount of EVO owners that don't race there cars or take them to the track and use the cars for the intention that they were built for but yet I see so many more RA and Lancer owners who modify there cars and are quiet willing to push there cars to the limit and beyond, I am wondering why it is like this is it because Evo owners like to be able to have bragging rights to there mates and say "hey I have an EVO" " I am good" what a load of brown stuff.... get over yourself

 

You drive a 30k lancer sedan buy an automotive company that is falling apart, they have shotty reliability and deny warranties left and right, who knows, in 2years, you might have take that evo into dodge to get service check, because mistu might not be here, So who are you better than? You and many thousands of owners are sign of a great car that bleeds severe ignorance. I would expect this from subaru owners, not mitsubishi.

Kid, you can not compare your thoughts to somebody else. We are all different in life and take different pathes. Just because you didn't get an evo wing for your lancer doesn't mean the next man (or woman) has to do the same.

I suggest you stop crying and replying in this thread, you are not gonna get anywere with that complaining nor change the thread starter or anybody else mind in this thread. I would worry about your own lancer and not somebody else that you'll never see, talk to or view his car in your life.

I swear, were do these kids get off of by saying "if you put a evo wing on your car, your trying to be an evo" or "if you paint your caliper red, your trying to be an evo" or "if you get the momo steering wheel, recaro seats your trying to be an evo". Yeah, because before/after I bought the evo wing and than put it on I was telling myself "OMG, UBER COOLNESS AND SEXY... I WANT TO LOOK LIKE AN EVO!!!111, yet im missing the most important aspect of the car, AWD, 4G63 and Turbo. So, how am I trying to look like an evo? How do you even fanthom these thoughts? Oh, and it's just not these young kids, there are even adults who come up with these comments... ADULTS.

Seriously, act your damn age and use some COMMON SENSE.

P.S. Putting the evo wing on your car does not make you look like an evo or fast as an evo, it's all cosmetic and personal preference.

Actually the wing is what I least like about this car. The only reason I keep it is because it came stock. Looks are all preference though so whatever floats your boat.

 

If I had an evo like you do, I would keep the spoiler. An evo spoiler is fine on an evo! lol.
