While I was picking up my repaired RA today I spotted a work of art on the lot.. A '06 Evo MR and she was black. My god they are sooo pretty.

It really only took a nod at the salesman, and I had the keys. I drove it for about 5 miles and my gf had it for about 2.

i dont think I have ever been so in love with a car. The pricetag is daunting though. He was asking 36.1k. I cant tell you I see where all that extra money is going.
So much torque and the interior is awesome!

Anyone other lil' lancers guys like me take one for spin before?

I've driven my buddy's 8 and it's a lot of fun but I'm kind of glad I didn't get one. I know that I would have gotten into trouble by now if I had one.

Did it have a 6 speed or 5 speed? That should tell you right there if it was an MR. That is unless they've changed them from the 8.

 

MR's do not come in Black. Maybe it was a GSR with the SSL package but if it was 6 spd then it was an MR. If it was 5 spd then it was either GSR or RS. and at that price it was either and MR or GSR w/ SSL but since the MR doesnt come in black my money is on GSR w/ SSL

 

I have driven a heavily modded BBY Evo8 (SmokedMustang on here). Easily the fastest car I have ever driven (and I have experience with Vettes, Mustang Cobras, Turbo'd RX8, Camaros, Eclipses, etc.).
They are fun to drive, but this guys car is now a shell sitting at the dealer (waiting on a 2.3l stroker motor from AMS), original motor spun a bearing.

 

it was def a 5 speed. Doh, now I feel dumb. Honestly I didnt know there was all of those different kind of evos until today. I thought it was es/oz/ra/evo in the lancers.

Like one guy said, that car would just get me in trouble. tooo much fun

Who hasn't? Everytime I think about driving to the stealership I just imagine the car payment and insurance (#2 most stolen car in america) and think... naaaaah. Plus, a 07 GT-R would look so much better in the driveway,

 

The price is MR price but the 5 speed is deff. regular Evo ...i hope thats not a price for a IX !! i can get a IX for 31,200!

Well this dealership is always sticker high, and they come down from there. Hmmm 31,2 that might be getting within range.. I need to do some more research.

Guy actually told me ,the evos are in such high demand, that as soon as he sells one it usually goes straight to ebay and people profit on them. Kind of like "scalping tickets'. I just rolled my eyes at that one. =p
