Awaiting CAI

Like the title says, im waiting for my injen cai. It will be here monday and i can not wait. God i love seeing the UPS truck pull up to my house. This will be an early birthday present to myself . Then its going to be another wait for the underdrive pulley and piggyback. Ahhh... dont know how much my little heart can take.

You should have bought the AEM CAI with the Air Bypass Valve. I have the RRM CAI Version 2 and when its pretty wet or raining hard out i have all sorts of problems with moisture blocking the air from getting to the engine. I know that is normal but it sucks and i seem to get caught in bad rain while driving often...

I could just buy the AEM bypass valve and stick it on to the injen or change to the SRI if needed. Oh and i like the injen better.

I highly recommend doing that if you live where it rains often.

You don't need it really, unless the area you live in you have to drive in over 1 foot of water. I live in a rainy climate no issues. Drive smart

I try not to even give my car any throttle and i always seem to get moisture in the system and the "Service Engine Soon" light turns on and sometimes the car starts choking itself out...

That sounds like a whole different issue to me, unless the RRM version sits way lower than the Injen but I doubt it.

i bought the air filter rainguard that Injen makes instead of AEMs bypass and the guard seems to be working well.

i don't think that saves you if your filter goes under. did you feel a HP loss when you put it on at all? always wondered how much its restricting the airflow.

Actually before i put it on people in the shop i work at said the same thing it wouldnt do anything so we submerged it in water and it stayed pretty dry inside it just got a little damp and i really didnt feel a difference in power as far as losing any but i did notice that it made the intake whistle alot more in the lower rpms
