Thumbs up Greddy EVO2 Cat-Back

The Greddy Evo2 Cat-Back for the 2003 OZ Rally does fit with only 2 minor modifications needed. I just installed mine last weekend and definitely a lot quieter than my cheap custom exhaust I had before. The 2 modifications needed are:

1) O2 port needs to be added to mid-pipe for the 2nd O2 sensor right after the Cat.

2) You will have to either buy a exhaust shield for the bumper cut-out or basically cut some of the bumper for exhaust Tip clearance as it does sit to the right of the cut-out and will melt the bumper around itself. The Tip does extend about 2-inches past the bumper as well. Which was no biggie for me.

You can have some of this on and off BS rain. How much did you pay for everything in total?

Yeah I Think that would work too, although it's too late for my bumper to try it.

Arithmetic: Yeah I had asked you before I put mine on about that. It does sit to the right and it sat right on the bumper on that side only It's not that bad as it's melting the bumper from the inner right side of the cut out. I'll take a pic to show everyone.

KevinO: I found the exhaust online for $519 shipped from a company in Washington State just searching by google and checking all the sites prices. I paid $60 for the O2 port to be welded which didn't take long at all. I just had to wait for them to get to my car since it was a Saturday Morning.

Ralliart329: The main reason I picked the Greddy was for the sound as my RRM Header is shipping too me this week. I pre-ordered it and had asked RRM about the sound with their Cat-Back since there is no cat they did say it would still be loud since I was trying to quiet the exhaust somewhat ( I know it will be louder even with the Greddy once I put on the Header). Otherwise I probably would have went with the RRM Cat-Back. My friend's have SE-R's with Greddy's and Race Header with no cat's and they don't scream at all. So that also influenced my decision.

to me it doesnt seem worth the custom work and risking the bumper. but do you think theres a HP difference b/c thats what would make my choice.

I'm surprised at the difference in body length between the previous gen lancer and the ralliart if you have to cut to fit. A friend of mine back in high school picked up a Lancer the same time I did (back in 02) and had zero fitment issues with this exhaust. I'm curious if you could have remedied this by altering the exhaust hangers a bit. Compared to the Evo, exhaust options are pretty scarce, so this is always good news to the RA/Lancer community.

Oh yeah, and enjoy that rain in Florida - it's supposed to be 100+ today here in (apparently) sunny Seattle .

I would say it's minimal HP difference, I had no choice to go aftermarket since my stock mid-pipe was cut/welded when I did a custom muffler so I screwed myself there and was not going to pay the same money i dd now just to go back to stock. The bumper is not as bad as you think I just need to clean up the tip of the muffler to take off the melted plastic and clean up the part of the bumper it burned to it's shape.

Yeah Rain is officialy back in FL it will now Rain at some point everyday for atleast 10mins to 1hr and dump on us then dry up within the next hour and we are getting cooked from the sun & humidity.
