I recently bought a 04 Lancer RalliArt, and sadly it was totaled 3 days later. The insurance company is trying to give me $13,500, when the car was originally bought for more than $15,000. I was wondering if anyone could point me to any sources that would estimate the vaule of the car. Ive got some Carmax reports and i've checked the Kelly Blue Book website. Any information would be very helpful and I thank you all greatly.

you might want to try salvaging parts from the car if you have access to it...and sell it on here to try and cut your losses.

You might be outta luck on this, unless you have gap insurance. 04 RA's really aren't worth more than $13k.

 

wow sorry to hear that. But yeah there's not much you can do without gap insurance.

 

In NY i think they finally made it a law that insurance companies have to give you gap insurance with any new vehicle. If you didnt get it i think you are SOL.

 

i had gap insurance im out over 3k on my evo and its been totaled for over a year now i had hired a lawyer to try to recover money and still nothing... good luck.
